Leslie’s Cakes is a bespoke cake design company specialising in luxurious, handcrafted cakes that combine American pizzazz with British sophistication. We are designers, bakers and decorators of delicious and beautiful cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. From sleek and stylish tiered wedding cakes to spectacular cupcake towers, all our creations are handmade with the finest ingredients. We make our own fillings too, from melt-in-the-mouth ganache using the finest chocolate to the fluffiest of handmade mousseline buttercreams. Most of our creations start with delicious American recipes for cake on the inside and finish with beautiful British designs on the outside. Born in the United States but now living in the U.K., Leslie had a 20-year career in investment banking before discovering that she was passionate about baking. She loves the science of baking and is a perfectionist about her cake recipes. But as well as being delicious on the inside, her wedding and celebration cakes had to be gorgeous on the outside! Leslie has been taught by some of the top sugar craft professionals in the UK including Paddi Clark and Lindy Smith. She loves the creative challenge of turning cake into art… getting inspiration from a bridal gown, an invitation, a piece of jewellery or some other memento that will give special meaning to her client.
